Abstract
An LC method was developed for the determination of phytic acid in foo d. The separation was carried out by gradient elution on an anion-exch ange column using a conductivity detector. Earlier reversed-phase LC p rocedures for the quantitation of phytic acid usually required a prepu rification step. The prepurification can be avoided by the separation method described in this paper. The method is sensitive and selective, and can be rapidly and easily performed. It is therefore suitable for routine determination. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
