Abstract
An important issue in measuring fiber coarseness with optical fiber le ngth analyzers is the accuracy of the mass of the pulp on which one ma kes measurement. The authors describe a method that allows delivery of a small, debris-free pulp sample of known mass to the analyzer. The m ethod meets the needs for chemical wood pulps.
