OPTIMIZATION OF THE ELECTROSYNTHESIS OF T HE POLY-3-N-HEXYLTHIOPHENE

We present in this paper first results on the optimisation of the elec trochemical preparation of poly-3-n-hexylthiophene films in order to i ncrease the conductivity and the degree of polymerization of the P.H.T . films and to improve the reproductibility of the synthesis. We repor t results concerning the effect of the following parameters: nature of solvent nature and concentration of electrolyte temperature nature of monomer aging of solution The polymers obtained by electrochemical ox idation were characterized by different technics : Sterical Exclusion Chromatography (GPC), FT-IR, RMN, UV-Vis Spectroscopy.
