Abstract
A new ''cage-like'' monoterpene glucoside, named paeonidanin, has been isolated from Paeonia peregrina roots and its structure established o n the basis of spectral evidence. In addition, five known substances, paeoniflorigenone, benzoylpaeoniflorin, benzoic, p-hydroxybenzoic and gallic acids, have also been identified. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd . All rights reserved.
