Abstract
It is shown that the entropy function H(N-1,...,N-k) on finite dimensi onal von Neumann subalgebras of a finite von Neumann algebra attains i ts maximal possible value H(V-k(l=1) N-l) if and only if there exists a maximal abelian subalgebra A of V-k(l=1) N-l such that A = V-k(l=1) (A boolean AND N-l).
