Abstract
Using a 10 similar to 20 MPa uniaxial pressure, we have observed the g iant changes of lattice parameters and cell volume in CMR perovskite L a0.82Sr0.18MnO3. The experimental data for cell volume was found to be in good agreement with Bridman state equation. Meanwhile, the uniaxia l pressure induced changes of electric and magnetic properties have al so been observed. These effects suggest that the lattice of the mangan ese perovskite is flexible and its electric and magnetic properties ar e very structure-sensitive.
