Abstract
The use of N-chloro-N-sodio-2-trimethylsilyl ethyl carbamate in the os mium-catalyzed asymmetric aminohydroxylation of alkenes leads to enant iomerically enriched N-trimethylsilylethoxycarbonyl (TeoC) protected a minoalcohols in yields up to 80% and ee's up to 99%.
