Abstract
A dynamic NMR effect is observed in the H-1 NMR spectra of the title c ompound in the vicinity of 186 degrees C, and is attributed to restric ted rotation around the polarized carbon-carbon double bond. The free allergy of activation (Delta G(not equal)) for this process is 10(5) /- 2 k J mol(-1) in nitrobenzene as a solvent. (C) 1998 Published by E lsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
