Abstract
Methodological principles of building multiproduct chemical plants bas ed on the theory of expert systems are discussed. The block diagram an d operational modes of an integrated expert system oriented toward the selection of an adequate structure of chemical technological systems, their equipment configuration, and the formulation of structural-func tional models and optimization algorithms are described. A practical a pplication of the expert system for designing multiproduct chemical pl ants is illustrated.
