Abstract
TEM-wave scattering on a coaxial line terminated by a gap is theoretic ally investigated. The Fourier transform and the mode matching are use d to obtain a rapidly convergent series solution. Our solution is comp ared with Marcuvitz result based on the small-aperture method, Computa tions are performed to illustrate the phase behavior of reflection ver sus a gap variation.
