Abstract
Homogeneous polystyrene and silica gel polymer hybrids have been prepa red utilizing the sol-gel reaction of phenyltrimethoxysilane; pi-pi in teractions between phenyl groups of the organic polymer and those of s ilica gel were found to play a critical role for the homogeneity.
