Abstract
We have studied the Li-8 and B-8 nuclei within the extended alpha+t(He -3)+N model, which takes into account peculiarities of both two- and t hree-body dynamics. Effects of strong deformation and dynamical polari zation of the Li-7(Be-7) core as well as the core excitation are treat ed simultaneously. Various observables are calculated for Li-8, B-8 st ates and compared with the experiment. Estimates, based on the values of asymptotic normalization coefficients for the obtained B-8 wave fun ction, support S-17(0) value similar to 19.2 eV b. [S0556-2813(98)5040 5-0].
