Abstract
Phytoplasmas of a large number of GY-affected grapevines from several European countries and Israel were characterized using PCR-RFLP of a 1 6S rDNA region. Only phytoplasmas in the EY group and the stolbur grou p were found. The latter was the most wideley spread.
