Based on a two-nucleon pion-production model, we have calculated the c
ross sections and the analyzing powers for the reactions C-12,C-14(p,p
i(-))O-13,15(g.s.) near and above the delta resonance, which are acces
sible with the present experimental facilities. As the incident energy
increases, the cross section becomes sharply forward peaked and the a
symmetry changes its sign for C-12. The asymmetry for C-14 stays posit
ive throughout. We have also calculated the energy dependence of the f
orward cross section assuming the energy-independent normalization fac
