Abstract
In this paper a topological modification method for structural variati ons of space frame structures is studied by using the Moore-Penrose in verse theory and a new kind of factorization of the stiffness matrix. A set of explicit formulations of variations are obtained. A numerical example is given to illustrate the valid of the present method. (C) 1 998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
