Abstract
Numerical results are obtained for the binary collision contribution t o the longitudinal stress correlation function of Lennard-Jones fluids for a few selected densities and temperatures. It is found that the t ime evolution of the correlation function cannot be approximated by a simple, fast decaying function, like a Gaussian, at any thermodynamic state.
