Abstract
Levels of Cd and Pb were determined in the whole soft tissue, with and without gastrointestinal tract, and in valves of bivalve molluscs (Co rbicula fluminea) collected in the coast of the Ecological Park, Bueno s Aires city, Argentina. Sediment samples were also analyzed to assess the extent of contamination of this zone. The patterns of metal bioac cumulation and distribution for both elements in these organisms are p resented and compared with environmental levels.
