Abstract
Computational evidence is reported for a reversal in the type of an el ectron transfer (ET) mechanism, induced by an intramolecular linkage o f the donor (amine) and acceptor (cation radical) moieties via a singl e -CH2(-)spacer. An isotope effect probe is suggested to detect this m echanistic changeover.
