F. Chenlo et al., VISCOSITIES OF AQUEOUS-SOLUTIONS OF FE-2(SO4)(3) CONTAINING NANO3, KNO3, NABR, OR KBR FROM 293.1 TO 323.1 K, Journal of chemical and engineering data, 43(3), 1998, pp. 325-328
We report the kinematic viscosities of aqueous solutions of ferric sul
fate containing sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate, sodium bromide, or
potassium bromide at concentrations of up to 1 mol L-1 (or up to the s
olubility limit) and at temperatures ranging from 293.1 to 323.1 K. Co
ncentrations of NaNO3 or NaBr altered the viscosities of the unsupplem
ented Fe-2(SO4)(3) solutions by no more than 3%. For each concentratio
n of Fe-2(SO4)(3) employed, the measured viscosities of solutions with
KNO3 or KBr were fitted to within 0.9% by semiempirical equations. Fo
r each solution studied, its density at 298.1 K is also reported.
