J. Canosa et al., DYNAMIC VISCOSITIES OF (METHYL ACETATE OR METHANOL) WITH (ETHANOL, 1-PROPANOL, 2-PROPANOL, 1-BUTANOL, AND 2-BUTANOL) AT 298.15K, Journal of chemical and engineering data, 43(3), 1998, pp. 417-421
Viscosities have been measured for the binary mixtures methyl acetate
+ (methanol, or ethanol, or L-propanol, or 2-propanol, or l-butanol an
d 2-butanol), and methanol + (ethanol, or l-propanol, or 2-propanol, o
r l-butanol and 2-butanol) and their viscosity deviations were evaluat
ed at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure over the entire composition ra
nge. Several semiempirical relations have been proposed to estimate dy
namic viscosity, and the results were compared with the experimental d
ata. The UNIFAC-VISCO group contribution method, Lobe's volume fractio
n exponential model, and the group contribution thermodynamics viscosi
ty model (GC-UNIMOD) have been used to predict the dynamic viscosity.
