Abstract
A modified Harrison model for the effective pair potential of 4f liqui d metals has been used to carry out Gibbs-Bogolyubov (GB) variational calculation with charged hard sphere (CHS) reference and obtain severa l thermodynamic properties. In the low order perturbation theory like RPA the parameters yield structure factors as well. The study yields s everal interesting general behaviour across different members of 4f se ries.
