Abstract
Ablation of frozen acetone targets by synchrotron radiation produced a variety of deposits in the forms of films or particles (round, glass pieces, needle or flat plate). From one of the deposits we observed a sharp Raman peak at 1333 cm(-1), indicating the formation of diamond. However, this result could not be reproduced. Sharp Raman peaks were a lso observed near 500 cm(-1) from the deposits shaped like glass piece . (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
