Abstract
Thin films of MoO3 and WO3 have been obtained by pulsed laser depositi on. The structure of the films and of the splashed species were studie d by Raman microscopy. In the fast of WO3 a single monoclinic phase wa s observed. For MoO3 the deposited material corresponds to its metasta ble phase known as beta-MoO3. In the splashed species a mixture of the alpha-MoO3 and beta-MoO3 phases is found. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B .V.
