The properties of junctions made by growing superconducting Ba1-xKxBiO
3 (BKBO) epitaxially on superconducting La1.85Sr0.15CuO4 (LSCO) epitax
ial films depend on the orientation of the La1.85Sr0.15CuO4 films. Unu
sual features in the conductance characteristics of junctions made on
(103) and (100) LSCO films are similar to those of BKBO/native barrier
/normal-metal tunnel junctions; these junctions also have supercurrent
s. On (001) LSCO films, no supercurrents or gap structure are observed
, despite similar junction resistances.
