Kh. Posey et al., TRIPLE CAGE OLFACTOMETER FOR EVALUATING MOSQUITO (DIPTERA, CULICIDAE)ATTRACTION RESPONSES, Journal of medical entomology, 35(3), 1998, pp. 330-334
A triple cage olfactometer for evaluating mosquito attraction response
s is described. The olfactometer is designed for easy access for inter
ior cleaning, has a mechanism that allows synchronous operation of the
port doors on each cage, and requires 0.8 m(2) of floor space. it is
constructed of clear acrylic, contains 3 test chambers in a tiered con
figuration, was paired removable sleeves and mosquito traps on each ca
ge, and is equipped with a altered external air supply system that has
temperature and relative humidity control.
