Abstract
In the crystal structure of hydrothermally synthesized disodium mangan ese fluoride orthophosphate, Na-2{MnF[PO4]}, two kinds of cisMnO(4)F(2 ) octahedra share common vertices to form (Mn2F2O8) chains parallel to the b axis of the monoclinic unit cell. In the a and c directions the se chains are linked by PO4 tetrahedra to form a three-dimensional fra mework of octahedra and tetrahedra. Na+ cations are located in the cha nnels of this framework structure. The problem of {OTX5} mixed anionic radical polymorphism is discussed.
