Responses of 100 applicants to a counselor education program were anal
yzed for their coping styles and the relations of these coping styles
to a set of sociodemographic, academic, and experiential variables obt
ained during the application process. Seven factor-analytically derive
d coping styles are described. No significant relationships were found
between these coping styles and the remaining variables.
