Abstract
The crystal structure of [Re{eta(5)-C5H4CONH(CH2)(2)-COOH}(CO)(3)] is reported. This complex adopts a three-legged piano-stool geometry in t he solid phase. The average bonding parameters are Re-C(eta(5)) 2.29 ( 1) and Re-CO 1.88(1) Angstrom. The dihedral angle between the planes f ormed by the CONH group and the cyclopentadienyl ring is 6.15 degrees.
