Abstract
The title compound, C5H6N5+C7.H4FO2-.H2O, is the product of the acid-b ase reaction of 2-fluorobenzoic acid and adenine in water. A layered s tructure held together by interionic N-H ... O and N-H ... N bonds is formed. Water molecules, which link adjacent layers, participate in tw o O-H ... O bonds and one O ... H-N bond.
