Abstract
A series of new macrocyclic arylates have been efficiently synthesized and unambiguously characterized by a combination of GPC, MS(FAB) and H-1 NMR. These macrocycles undergo facile ring-opening polymerization in the presence of anionic initiators to give high molecular weight po lyarylates.
