The segmental localization of liver tumors is critical to planning app ropriate resection. Couinaud's nomenclature is a surgically relevant s ystem of hepatic segmental anatomy, which defines the liver segments b y their relationships to vascular structures, hepatic ligaments, and t he gallbladder. We demonstrate a way to accurately localize hepatic ma sses with sonography.
