ISOMERIC N-SUBSTITUTED HYDRAZONES OF 2-PYRIDINECARBOXALDEHYDES, 3-PYRIDINECARBOXALDEHYDES AND 4-PYRIDINECARBOXALDEHYDES

Eighteen compounds unknown in the literature, N-(E)-stilbenyloxyalkylc arbonyl- and enyloxyalkylcarbonylaminoalkylcarbonyl-substituted hydraz ones of 2-, 3- and 4-pyridinecarboxaldehydes have been prepared. The s tereochemical behavior of these compounds in dimethyl-db sulfoxide sol ution has been studied by H-1-nmr technique. The E geometrical isomers and cis/trans amide conformers have been found for N-substituted-hydr azones 1-16.
