In this paper we report a case of 76-year-old white male patient with
skin necrosis induced by subcutaneous prophylactic administration of l
ow-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH). Skin necrosis occured distant from
heparin injection sites and without concomitant thrombocytopenia. Thi
s is the first reported case presenting these clinical findings.
