Abstract
Because of its complex way of action loratadine shows a very effective impact both on the early and the late phase of inflammatory reactions . It is characterized by a highly antiallergic and anti-inflammatory p otency accompanied with a marked small potency of side effects and a v ery high rate of tolerability. The agent is indicated for seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, urticaria and atopic eczema. Recently, t he present application forms, syrup and tablet, are completed by an ef fervescent tablet. This is characterized by an especially fast onset o f reaction within 10 to 15 minutes and, compared to the conventional t ablet, shows some advantages concerning the therapy of the seasonal al lergic rhinitis and food allergies as well as the treatment of childre n.
