The aim of this work is to introduce and analyze two new schemes for s
olving the transport equations in slab geometry The first one is in th
e spirit based on the S.O.R. relaxation method for finite dimensional
systems, applied to the system obtained by splitting the collision ope
rator The second algorithm is obtained by adaptation of the synthetic
diffusion method principle to the new schemes born from the splitting
