Abstract
We report a case of a 59-y-old woman who ingested a herbicide containi ng glufosinate. Though suffering from severe toxicity of this herbicid e, she did not develop convulsions, which experimentally occurs in rat s treated with glufosinate. The mechanisms of convulsions are not clea r. Several clinical findings in poisoning by this herbicide are suspec ted to be caused by the surfactant components.
