Abstract
A fast switching gate driver suitable for self-oscillating resonant in verters such as electronic ballasts is presented. The proposed gate dr iver has negligible switching loss and driving loss owing to fast driv ing and zero voltage switching (ZVS) control capability, Experiments s how that the gate transition time is as Short as 20ns and the switchin g loss is as little as one quarter of that of a conventional gate driv er.
