PRINT MATERIAL AS A PUBLIC-HEALTH EDUCATION TOOL

Despite the widespread use of print materials in public health educati on, little is known about the costs and processes involved in developi ng these materials and their effectiveness in practice. We examined a sample of printed health education materials, using interviews and che cklists. The most cost-effective processes for developing materials we re not being used and the effectiveness of materials was rarely evalua ted.
