Abstract
A 30 year-old, mentally retarded female presented with uncontrolled se izures. The diagnosis of pseudohypoparathyroidism was established on g rounds of clinical, laboratory and radiological evaluation, Despite no rmalization of serum calcium levels with vitamin D treatment, the pati ent continued to suffer from frequent convulsions. The possible pathog enesis of the therapy-resistant seizures and the therapeutic approach are discussed.
