Abstract
The mathematical apparatus and physical methods for modeling the briqu etting and extrusion of noncompact ingots are considered. Full-scale m odeling shows the possibility of producing intermediate products from metallic raw materials - in particular, titanium sponge - without the need to produce and process large ingots. Comparison of the results of mathematical and full-scale modeling shows that they may be used to s olve technological problems.
