Ov. Andrukhova et al., INFLUENCE OF TEMPERATURE OF THE STRUCTURE OF A 2-DIMENSIONAL BINARY ALLOY IN THE EQUILIBRIUM STATE, Russian metallurgy. Metally, (6), 1997, pp. 98-106
A model describing diffusional ordering in a two-dimensional binary al
loy of equiatomic composition by a vacancy mechanism is proposed. It i
s assumed that energy, geometric, and temperature factors influence th
e atomic diffusion. Characteristics of the equilibrium state attained
by the alloy in the course of ordering are given as a function of the
temperature. The order-disorder phase transition occurs through a two-
phase region. The results obtained in the model are in good agreement
with experimental data.
