Abstract
The reaction between RuCl(C=CHBut)(PPh3)(eta-C5Me5) and Fe-2(CO)(9) af forded the salt O)(2)(PPh3)(eta-C5Me5)][Fe-3(mu(3)-C2But)(CO)(9)], whi ch has been characterized by a single-crystal X-ray structure determin ation. The cation has a piano-stool structure, while the anion contain s a CCBut ligand sitting on a triangular Fe-3 cluster.
