Abstract
Not all botanists in need of illustrating their publications are gifte d artists, and trained as such; nor can every botanist or publisher af ford hiring professional help. To those who decide to produce their ow n drawings, this paper gives practical guidance of how to proceed, ill ustrated by examples of how palatable the results may look.
