We have developed a model of case-based ethical reasoning for medical
students and colleagues. The model is derived from discursive ethics n
ot as a fundamental theory but as a guideline for communicational acti
on. Our model of case-based discourse ethics has a vertical (reporter,
discussants, moderator) and a temporal structure (first the case, lat
er the values). Clinical problems most frequently refered were conflic
ts with discontinuation of treatment.
