EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL-STUDY OF GROOVE GUIDE HORN ANTENNAS AT W-BAND

Novel horn antennas constructed from groove guide have been analysed a nd measured at W-band. The desired radiation pattern could be achieved by optimising the guide dimensions. In the present study, the co-pola risation and cross-polarisation radiation patterns of horns with recta ngular-, trapezoidal- and V-groove have been evaluated by using the Me thod of Lines. For verification purposes, horns with V-groove were fab ricated and their performance were measured. The predicted data were c lose to the measured data.
