Jf. Whidborne et al., SIMULATED ANNEALING FOR MULTIOBJECTIVE CONTROL-SYSTEM DESIGN, IEE proceedings. Control theory and applications, 144(6), 1997, pp. 582-588
Engineering design problems are generally multiobjective in that they
require several, generally conflicting requirements to be met. One app
roach to solving a multiobjective design problem is to formulate the p
roblem as a set of algebraic inequalities that must be satisfied for a
successful design. Based on simulated annealing, two algorithms to so
lve a set of inequalities are proposed. The performance of the algorit
hms is tested on several control system design problems.
