Abstract
This paper presents a method of evaluating voltage stability of series capacitors compensated EHV transmission lines considering the uncerta inty in load parameters. A new dv(r)/dk(s) criterion is utilized to ge t the results of voltage stability in power systems. The analysis take s into account various composition of the load. Also a long line model is shown to have a certain advantage over a short line model of the t ransmission system.
