Abstract
Mixtures of finely dispersed powders of SiC and TiB2 are considered as binder for a cutting material based on cubic boron nitride. At a pres sure of 5-6 GPa and temperature of 1800 degrees C a formulation was ob tained in which BNcub grains are ''cemented'' by a heterophase binder modeling an eutectics.
