Abstract
The nutritional activity of Euterpina acutifrons is stimulated by alga e. This copepod differentially ingests algal cells (Isochrysis galbana ) and similar-sized beads (5 mu m) when offered. The ingestion of bead s is more important, this is due to the very high motility of the alga e used.
