We construct and discuss cosmological perturbations for a wide class o
f exact hat FRW background solutions deduced from scalar-tensor theori
es in which the scalar held phi is minimally or nonminimally coupled w
ith the geometry. The perturbation potential in our models depends on
a free parameter. The free parameter and hence the potential can be co
nstrained by comparing the obtained spectrum of density perturbations
with observed galaxy correlations and anisotropy of the microwave back
ground radiation.
